Located in the heart of Ljubljana, Pekarna Apartments invites you to experience a unique blend of history and modern luxury. Once home to Pekarna Center, one of the city’s most renowned bakeries, this building played a vital role in Ljubljana’s past.
Established in 1875 by Fanika Schrey, the bakery quickly became a cornerstone of the community. Her son, Jean Schrey, later transformed it into a modern steam-powered bakery, the most advanced of its time. Over the decades, it grew, supplying bread to the military during World War I and continuing its operations under new ownership until its demolition in 1963.
In 2017, this historic space was carefully renovated into seven boutique apartments, preserving its legacy while offering contemporary elegance. Each apartment combines sophisticated design with modern amenities, creating a stylish and comfortable retreat in Ljubljana’s vibrant city center.
